The Kate Bistrocafe is one of my favorite cafés in Gießen. Especially Sunday Brunch is really a great choice to fair, student prizes recommended. But also otherwise the cat is always worth a snack in front of the Liebigschule and near the university, whether it be lunch for coffee or dinner for beer. The staff is really super friendly and accommodating. Genuine feel-good atmosphere guaranteed.
I visited the Kate for the first time last month. And it was my last time. On the one hand it was not specifically ordered for the quality of the service. In addition, instead of a normally sprayed cider, I would have wished a sweet sprayed candy, I would certainly have informed. During the meal we took the daily offer: noodles. After about 40 minutes, noodles came with some sauce, but they had nothing to do with the map or offer, and then cold... So he apologized and offered the house a free drink – but the noodles were not restored. Tastefully they were not a big highlight. I have to think about it again.
The cat has a very cozy ambience and in summer it is very nice to sit outside. In general, you can talk about a very good value for money. Breakfast or brunch are particularly recommended. Here you will find a very extensive buffet.

We went there a Sunday afternoon and the atmosphere was really nice. The food was amazing and the prices were reasonable. The food we requested did not last long and the service was top. Come on.
Wonderful food all Is
The salad in the restaurant is really very good. Above all, there are different unusual variations. The service is very nice. Although the price for a salad is very high, the amount was really much. So you can talk about a good value for money. The only criticism is the shield in front of the door. It must definitely be renewed as there is really a bad first impression. We'll be back.
The food is good. The chicken burger is my favorite. Waiting is a little long.
Slow service. Extremely long waiting time, particularly for drinks. First drinks are served after 10 minutes together with the food. Next drinks are served with the same tempo. Obviously in the kitchen are doing much better than the bartenders and the waiters. Food and prices are on an average level. It's nothing less, nothing more just OK.
