Nice bar and beautiful terrace in the Puerto Viejo. All the dishes are excellent. The morcilla (blood sausage) is heavenly. Other favorites: anchoas, patatas bravas, ventresca, pimientos del pais.
A tapas place with small plates after 6 days in Spain. In is in a small village with hundreds of years of history, serving fresh tapas before dinner.
Stumbled upon this great place on a sunny sunday, sat outside it was packed with locals all enjoying the winter sunshine, fantastic atmosphere... great wine and a huge plate of calamares. We were staying in Bilbao and took the metro to Portugalete and then walked round the bay until we came to the old fishermans houses.... what a great laid back place this is!
Great experience. Restaurant was very busy but food was great. The mejillones mojojones tigre were phenomenal. The foi a la plancha was also great. Worth walking around the neighborhood a bit afterwards as all the houses and business are quite pretty.
