However, if you want some excellent food and drink in the company of a lively local crowd then you're in luck. The staff seemed to know all the other customers personally, but we were nevertheless made to feel very welcome. There was a large range of very tasty pintxos at €2 each. On the main menu were sea bass at €11 and what appeared to be a whole monkfish at €14. The very palatable house Rioja was €1.40 a glass and the excellent local beer was €2.50 for 50cl. It was so good, we came here twice for dinner and once for lunch. Eating out in Getaria can be an expensive experience. Do yourself a favour. Ignore the more pretentious places and come here.
