The staff is incredibly friendly, the food is delicious and the rooms are super clean. I'm sure I'm back and recommend you stay here if you're in the area. If you just go through, take a coffee or some food in the restaurant. If it is dry, sit on the terrace and appreciate the beauty of Lucerne

You enjoy the views from yo... read more We stayed at Hotel Platten for 1 week and enjoyed half board. The setting is high above Gersau with wonderful views of Lake Lucerne. You enjoy the views from your room or the restaurant or both if you pay for a room with a view. Marta, the owner is a lovely person who is passionate about giving her guests the best experience. Chef Lukas is talented and we looked forward to the meal we had each night. My wife has some food intolerances and Marta took care of that. She went above and beyond. Breakfast in the morning is fine to set you up for the day. We would love to stay with Hotel Platten again and recommend fellow travellers to try out this venue for food which we thought was comforting, tasty and filling.This is only our second review on Tripadvisor but we thought it worth the effort to repay the enjoyable experience we had. Thanks Marta!!!

We had the possibility to eat several times in the restaurant and the dishes were delicious, rich of details. Check availability on B... read more If you are looking for a place to relax while passing through Switzerland, around Luzern and Zurich, or more, this is the place for you. Check availability on Booking, but don't hesitate to go directly to the hotel and check in right on the spot, as I did, chances are you'll be greeted by fantastic hosts who will not hesitate to make it a special offer. Try dining too in their restaurant, on their terrace overlooking the lake and enjoy the fantastic view and the great cuisine by the owner/chef. I was, with my 10-year old son, just passing through and we were really lucky to find a place like this and it truly was a great experience.
