Monument Cafe
Description
The Monument Cafe in Georgetown offers a historic charm to its customers, though reviews have shown variations in food quality over the years. While some customers have expressed disappointment in the lack of vegetarian and vegan options, others have highlighted the friendly service and enjoyable dishes such as the breakfast taco with mushrooms, onions, avocado, and home fries. Despite some inconsistencies, the cafe has accommodated vegan customers with options such as tofu scramble and vegan protein salads. This is a cute place, however when we came on Sunday it was very busy. The service was not good and our waitress was not ensuring we were taken care of. The food was subpar at best and overall it’s a place with lots of potential we just had a busy kitchen with bad service staff.
Food is very good. Pretty busy, but wait was only 10 minutes. The breakfast flight for $11 is pretty cool. Parking could be bad if it was any bossier on a Saturday.
Breakfast was very good. Ham potatoes excellent. Very good coffee. Home made peach jam amazing.
Scratch kitchen made menu, with a wide range of breakfast options. Prompt, friendly service makes you feel at home. Iconic architecture, design and location make every visit a special occasion.
