Kyoto - Georgetown
Kyoto
Description
In the heart of Georgetown, this restaurant offers a diverse menu that caters to sushi lovers and fans of Chinese cuisine alike. While the hibachi tofu and spicy edamame receive high praise, not all offerings hit the mark, with some diners noting disappointing quality in certain Chinese dishes, alongside cleanliness issues. Prices, particularly for drinks, raise eyebrows against the backdrop of mixed food experiences. Service generally garners positive feedback for its attentiveness, and the vibrant atmosphere adds to the appeal. Though the restaurant shows promise, consistency remains essential for a more unified dining experience.

Despite the number of customers, the atmosphere was pleasantly quiet and inviting. Every dish featured wonderful, delicate flavors—a refreshing change from other places that can sometimes overwhelm the palate. I highly recommend the Love Boat, which is a generous selection perfect for two, allowing the chef to surprise you with their choice of sushi. It also includes your choice of soup and a carrot-ginger salad. The salad was a delightful surprise; it was light and refreshing with a subtly sweet flavor that paired perfectly. I encourage everyone to try it. To top off the meal, their plum wine was simply exquisite! It had a beautifully robust plum flavor with a subtle hint of alcohol, making it perfect for indulging in just a glass. Be mindful that one glass is usually enough; after just a few sips, you'll certainly feel its effects. Their hot tea, with its gentle Jasmine flavor, was the ideal complement to the wine. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in this charming little restaurant. Thank you so much!

Great sushi and selections! Their menu is large so you can take friends that don’t like sushi and they will still enjoy dinner. Service was very friendly, restaurant was clean, and the presentation was good. I’m happy that there is finally good sushi in Georgetown and will definitely go back.
If you want fast and friendly sushi service then this is the place to be! With six chefs behind the sushi bar how could it not be quick service! The atmosphere is very welcoming and bright as opposed to other sushi restaurants in the area. The longhornroll was absolutely delicious!
