Ichiro - Georgetown
Ichiro
Description
At this restaurant, experiences vary widely among diners, with some praising the outstanding service and delicious food, while others express disappointment over slow service and high prices for Americanized sushi. The decor, reminiscent of a dim sum establishment rather than a traditional Japanese aesthetic, contributes to mixed feelings about the ambiance. Although some guests rave about the quality of specific dishes and the restaurant's elegant vibe, others feel the offerings do not justify the cost. Overall, this dining spot might satisfy certain tastes but may fall short in delivering an authentic Japanese culinary experience.

Thank you for providing a venue that we can both appreciate. The decor is modern and of high quality, and everything is kept clean. The staff are friendly as well. I recommend making reservations, as seating is limited due to COVID-19 regulations.
So my reservation was at nine and somebody didn’t talk to us until 9:40-9:50 and didn’t get water until after 10 plus there was two tables complaining next to us so we weren’t the only ones first time being there wasn’t quite what I was expecting
The 4 course meal took over 3 hours to serve leaving us with a salad after the first hour, a returned main course (wife’s wasn’t ready so they decided to give me mine) after another 45 min (1.45 hours), then apps arrived. Manager offered a free drink for our inconvenience. Not worth 125.00 per person based on portions, wait time and overall experience.
The day after I dine, I am often consumed with thoughts of the food here. I live about 30 minutes away and it's a tad pricey but well worth it. I frequyebntly eat off the happy hour list and used to crave the cod, but last night we loved the crispy green beans and a raw fish with an amazing sauce that included blueberries. I don't even really like blueberries but it was amazing! My fiance gives the lemon drop cocktail a thumbs up. I don't know how much they dim the lights in the later eve, but think that would be nice and romantic. : Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
My partner and I were celebrating our birthdays with some cousins, and we had an amazing experience. The Old Fashioneds were outstanding, and we enjoyed a variety of delicious appetizers, including green beans, lamb chops, tuna tataki, oysters, and ginzo shrimp. To top it all off, we shared a nice bottle of Cabernet. It was a fantastic evening!
