What User doesn't like about L'apothicaire:
Do you think that for a Tanqueray Ten Gin Tonic (just plain glass, nothing special in the composition of the drink and average presentation) CHF 18.-- is a good price? Frankly I think it should cost less. The drink was prepared with no love, no care, it was just a normal drink......sorry but elsewhere in Europe (Spain for example), for the same price you get a super premium GIN and a fantastic experience. We found this place while we were looking for another bare, but went in when it looked so sweet and charming. it is quite small, so very cozy and had a really nice atmosphere. the cocktails were delicious with lots of variety.
You can have a lovely time sipping a drink at l'Apothicaire as long as you don't approach the bar and have your friends fetching your drinks for you. The staff is INCOMPETENT and IMPOLITE and will make you feel unwelcome to say the least. The...manager doesn't fare better: he has no sense whatsoever of what client service means.
The bartender Christof and his partner are very friendly, they are also both very helpful and the drinks are excellent
I never leave reviews but this place is amazing. Most welcoming and down to earth people.. the bartenders are true mixologists and the menu reflects that. Each drink is different you gotta try them all! And let’s not forget the owner.. we shared at least two or three free shots with him as he imparted upon us the best places to go at our next destination. Truly an amazing experience would always go back if I’m in town again.
An incredible unique experience to remember and absolutely worth the money, because the cocktails are the same prices as other bars in Geneva but have so much more value. Each drink has it’s own character, whether it’s a hot drink set on fire or a cold drink held by a glass made entirely of ice. We sat at the bar and spoke to the bartenders Christophe and Harry both are incredibly friendly, we spoke for hours and were told many interesting stories about the history of the cocktails and the bar itself. One in which is that Christophe set up the first true cocktail bar in Geneva: L’Atelier. So this cocktail bar is run by Geneva’s finest and most experienced cocktail makers. Without a doubt I can say this will be our go to bar from now on.
