What User doesn't like about Gellibrand River Hotel:
The Gelli Pub has recently reopened after being closed for a lengthy period. So.....as a local seeking a bit of variety we decided to check out the Gelli Pub for a Sunday lunch. As you can see from the images taken on the day, it’s an average but intrinsically country pub. That’s it’s endearing quality. For about an hour we were the only diners for lunch. Great food for a simple night outside. there is a bar on one side and the restaurant on the other. we had the färger and maische and chicken parma. the huh was huge, twice as big as what I'm usually used to. it was delicious, but could do with a tad more tomato paste than the hen got a little dry. service was nice. there is even a pool table for good game!
The fish was delicious. also great children's dishes. make sure to stop when they celebrate. large local pub
We had lunch here today... we had heard that it had reopened. The meals we had today were of simple but delicious fare, we are looking forward to making this a regular destination ! Management and staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is most welcoming. My suggestion to all is come and make this Pub the best pub to visit !
Had a fantastic night for my birthday last night with great friends and family. Awesome food and great country pub atmosphere x
