Staff were pleasant and helpful, but food was slow to come out considering there weren't many other people in the restaurant at the time. My pizza (prosciutto parmesan) was fresh and tasty, but my friend mentioned that her pasta sauce was cold and must've been sitting out for a while. Overall, a decent lunch and reasonable prices. We arrived in Colac late and had to find a restaurant that was still open. The kids didn't want to eat at a pub again, so we ended up at La Porchetta, an Italian restaurant. They specialize in pizzas, pastas, and other traditional Italian dishes, which were all quite delicious. The restaurant is located in a huge old building, and despite its size, it was packed with diners. It seemed like the whole town was there, which speaks to the quality of the food. The atmosphere was very family-friendly, with kids running around and parents trying to keep up with them. The menu offered basic but tasty Italian dishes, and the portions were quite generous. The service was fast and friendly, even with the large crowd. Overall, if you're looking for a place for a group dinner or to feed hungry teenagers, La Porchetta is a great choice.
The meal was very enjoyable, but be prepared to wait for it. A family of five was promptly seated and offered drinks, which was a great start. However, there was a delay in receiving our pasta meals after the children's pizza was served. Despite the wait, the meal was delicious. The restaurant had plenty of staff and was about two-thirds full.

Attentive staff and manager welcome guests and make extra effort to please. Blue cheese dressing not on the menu, so they created it from scratch! Extensive offerings, family friendly, good value. Busy midweek evening suggests the locals know where to go.
Awesome play area for kids,we drove around colac looking for a family dinner we bypassed the usual pubs and thought we would give la porchetta's a go we walked in thinking yeah normal looking restaurant but as we walked towards the rear of the venue the kids eyes lit up and we new we had chosen well
