Description

At the IKEA Restaurant in Giltbrook Retail Park, guests often find a mixed bag of dining experiences. While some have enjoyed hearty breakfasts and signature meatballs, criticisms frequently arise over cleanliness and service. Diners report struggling to find clean trays and cutlery, with tables often left unattended. The quality of food has been deemed mediocre, especially when it falls short of expectations, such as lukewarm dishes or incomplete servings. Moreover, some patrons express dissatisfaction with the staff's demeanor, leaving them to question the value of their meals amidst the disorganization. Overall, improvements in hygiene and service are highly needed.

Ate at IKEA Restaurant when we were at Giltbrook Retail Park. We had fish and chips, cutlet and rice, and Swedish meat balls, and paid for drinks as well. Other than the meat balls, the quality of the food is mediocre. The lady at the cashier is less than friendly cheerful too.

The food in the past has always been ok, I had the fish n chips which was pleasant enough, in the past we have ended our meal with fresh coffee, so we took our mugs and went through the checkout. When it came to getting the coffee we discovered that one of our mugs was dirty. That was replaced, and when we went to get our drink there was no fresh coffee. Upon bringing this to the attention of staff we were offered a little sachet as a replacement which we declined as we originally under the impression we were getting fresh coffee. The restaurant should have made sure that the coffee situation was made clear at time of purchase.

Been some time ago but today found that the prices have gone up a lot, probably more than inflation. Toast especially highly priced, can buy a loaf for the cost of one slice. Wont be going again

The food is typically cold by the time you reach the checkout, and then you have to queue again to get coffee, etc. It is cheap, but you get what you pay for. I ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich, and was charged an extra 10p for a cube of butter or margarine, which I found to be unfair as the sandwiches were very dry and needed four cubes each. Despite the fact that my niece enjoys eating there, I will try to persuade her to go to Greggs or McDonald's instead. One positive aspect was that the restaurant was clean and the toilets were also well-maintained.
