The pub offers a varied beer selection, including vegan options, and a cozy atmosphere that is dog-friendly. The staff is typically friendly, with the exception of one grumpy manager. The food quality varies, with some dishes falling short but others, like the Monday curry special, impressing diners. The Sunday roast with seitan is a highlight, along with the vegan-friendly options available. With a buzzing atmosphere, family-friendly vibe, and accommodating service, the pub is worth a visit. Overall, it's a mixed bag in terms of food quality, but the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere make it a go-to spot on Mapperley Plains.

Friendly pub and efficient service. Sunday roast is fab (I had the seitan option). Wheelchair accessible and dogs welcome.

The beer selection is very well labelled with many vegan beers available, sometimes including some on cask, which is a rarity. Sadly the vegan food selection (at least on weekdays) has been reduced to only one vegan main (plus a vegan breakfast available until noon). A few others have ‘vegan options’.

The bread and bitter do a lovely vegan Sunday dinner with seitan and even do vegan Yorkshire puddings! They also have a good selection of vegan options on their main menu and have curry night once a week. It’s a dog friendly pub too!

We were looking for a dog-friendly pub to take our daughter out for a meal while visiting her in Nottingham. We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was great, and they had an impressive selection of beers. We highly recommend this place!

Just discovered this friendly pub that recently opened in the neighborhood. Could this be my new go-to spot?
