Very poor choice for vegetarians. It is disappointing to see such a lack of acknowledgement that many people are vegetarian and vegan reflected in the menu. I would not recommend this pub if a member of your group does not eat meat, fish or poultry.

Love the Vale Carvery, especially the slow cooked beef. It is great value for money. The reason it has only 4 stars is the serving staff are so miserable, it would be such a different experience if the welcome was warmer and it was served with a smile. We are regulars because it is conveniently down the road. but I’m sure the surly service must put others off from coming back.

Avoid at all costs. We were looking for somewhere for Sunday lunch and this place was mentioned should have been suspicious when they had a table for 12 at such dhort notice. We all had the carvery at £12.50 meat was tough (chicken had blood on), stuffing balls had been cremated and the veg was literally swimming in water. The service (especially the bar) was shocking. At least 2 of us have already been sick so a call to environmental health tomorrow.Absolutely shocking

I recently visited this pub with some friends for a few drinks. The atmosphere was lovely and the prices were reasonable. The staff, especially the bartender Liv, were very welcoming and friendly. Liv made our experience more enjoyable with great conversation and service. I would definitely recommend this place.

This pub was absolutely terrible. My friend, my assistance dog, and I didn't even end up staying to eat. When we mentioned we had come for the carvery, we were aggressively told that I couldn't sit with my dog in the carvery room. I tried to explain that as an assistance dog, he should be allowed to access any area within reason by law. I asked how I was supposed to get my food if I couldn't bring him inside, but the staff couldn't give me a clear answer. They claimed that my dog's hair might get into the food or that someone could be highly allergic, but I pointed out that the pub is dog-friendly and those with allergies wouldn't be there. When they couldn't provide a valid reason, they resorted to saying that some people may not like dogs, to which I replied that it was not my problem and that I needed my assistance dog to help with my disabilities. I was then told to leave and not be so close-minded. I would advise other disabled individuals to avoid this place as they do not accommodate for accessibility and seem to have no understanding of disability discrimination laws. All they seemed to care about was making a profit, but if they had approached the situation differently, we may have stayed and spent money. However, I will never go back to this place.
