What Suerutter doesn't like about The Vale Pub:
Avoid at all costs. We were looking for somewhere for Sunday lunch and this place was mentioned should have been suspicious when they had a table for 12 at such dhort notice. We all had the carvery at £12.50 meat was tough (chicken had blood on), stuffing balls had been cremated and the veg was literally swimming in water. The service (especially the bar) was shocking. At least 2 of us have already been sick so a call to... I recently visited this pub with some friends for a few drinks. The atmosphere was lovely and the prices were reasonable. The staff, especially the bartender Liv, were very welcoming and friendly. Liv made our experience more enjoyable with great conversation and service. I would definitely recommend this place.
Definitely will not come back and definitely wouldn 't recomended to anybody to eat here if you Care for your health and wellbeing. Waited almost 1,5h for burger and soup in dirty bowl just to find a piece of plastic in it. Looks like 'homemade ' soup is boiled with whole packaging. Makes you wonder if anybody is actually doing any checks on The kitchens in places like this. Would give a minus star if could. Be safe people.
Horrid carvery meat dry and tough Yorkshire pudds flat roasts soggy gravy’s lumpy and salty not nice at all will not go back. Not much choice of veg either.
Paid £12.95 for a carvery to be given 2 x small slices of meat, complete rip off, we wont be going again. Place is also looking very tired, no soap in the gents too.
The roast beef was cooked too long and ended up very dry. The gravy was overly salty. The vegetables were decent but lacked flavor. The price for a regular cola was £3.50 per glass, which was quite high.
