Called in last Tues night about 5pm....I had the fish an chips, the wife had hunters chicken.....both meals were excellent...in particular my fish...its probably the the best battered fish I've ever had in the Notts area!!....stunning!!...
We had a brilliant Sunday lunch. The food was exceptional and amazing value for money. Thank you to Jo and all the staff for your super friendly service.
The service at this restaurant was terrible. It seemed like the staff did not want to be there and were rude. Three members of the staff were particularly unpleasant. Our meals were taken to the wrong table after we had waited for half an hour. Three other tables that ordered after us received their meals before us. My steak was barely warm and very fatty for a sirloin. My partner's burger was also lukewarm and nothing special. Overall, this was probably the worst meal and service I have ever experienced. The outside tables were full of dirty plates and empty glasses, attracting flies. I would not recommend this place.
For starters, I ordered the Golden Breaded Mushrooms, which were overcooked and difficult to eat. For the main course, I had the Gammon, which was decent but not the best I've had. The Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert was very enjoyable. There were enough staff on duty who were friendly, but it seemed that they were not well-trained or properly led. This points to a failure in management. The service could definitely be improved. Overall, I am not eager to dine here again.
