Our adult son had been here a couple of weeks ago and he said it was great and lots to eat.On this assumption we gave it a try. Guess what? He was right for a change. Having worked on contract for a Chinese group for a number of years we are not strangers to good Asian food and we were not dissatisfied with this in the least. What Robert B doesn't like about Palais Du Vietnam:
Too much lemongrass and salt , meats and shrimps are tasteless, just over salted , very disappointed in service and food, but bathrooms are clean , decor is nice. View all feedback.
We stopped for supper on an evening two days after the New Years. The personnel was friendly and efficient, we were received with a smiling welcome. The spring rolls were home made and the sweet and sour soup very tasty. The main course was very good, the meat tender and tasty! We recommend this restaurant.
Decor outdated for sure but they have parking and the service good & friendly, not crazy ship-you-out-as-soon-as-possible but not super drag on slow.I would rate it as $$.Food was good I thought. They have specials for around $30 includes a glass of wine (nice thought) with 2 appetizers + main dish + dessert (a LOT of food!). The basil shrimp noodle special was really good. The Korean short ribs had no bones, therefore were they short ribs? The curried shrimp special was good too. I think probably a lot of the dishes on the menu would be good. I am a foodie and although not expert (yet) on food I do know what good food tastes like and if I was in the neighbourhood, I'd come here again expecting the same good food & service.
Went there on a Saturday night. Service was A-1. Décor and ambiance was cosy and nice as usually the décor in an Asian restaurant is pretty plain. Well this was not the case here. Smiling, polite servers and the food was simply delicious. If in Hull, QC, I strongly recommend this restaurant.
The atmosphere is very pleasant and so is the service, soup is authentic and delicious and hot, meal is great and served with a smile and always very good and warm.
