Mirage Bistro & Cafe - Gatineau

I have been to Le Mirage several times when I was working. Good friendly service, the food is decent. However, the new owner does not appear to be able to decide what he wants on his menu as it changes far too often. The original menu was better.

Our party of four visited last Friday (May 29) at lunch, arriving at 11:35. Our order was taken by 11:40, drinks arrive promptly, and the food was brought to our table at ... 12:55. My "fish and chips" that I had asked for a split of fries and salad, had no fries. The fish was limp and oily, not at all crispy. It took us a mere 10 minutes to eat, then we waited almost 20 for our bill and the card machine. Easily the worst dining experience I have endured. There was no visit from the manager (though he was flitting around "managing") nor explanation of the abysmal service, nor any consideration on the bill. I will not be back, as the service and food quality of this former favourite have fallen off terribly.

I invited my team for a breakfast. It was a simple 2 eggs+ham+potatoes. the service was excellent and no complaint about the quality of food. The restaurant is practical and accessible if your work in the vicinity.

Was sitting there in bar, tried their soup, surprised me with the price is only 2.50....their heineken is only $4 some! nice girl in bar, and one mexico good looking girl.

It's great , new waitresses and a new cook !! great environment for a good lunch or breakfast , 3 lunch specials everyday !! 7 different beers on tap to chose from including great happy hour specials !! come and see us open 5 days a week !!
