This place is one of those gems which locals keep to them selves. But it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Everything was homemade from very old recipes so the flavours were uniquely there own. The tortierre and homemade baked beans were unbelievable and a must try. Looking for a fun diner for brunch on Canada Day weekend (July 2nd). Came across this place as we drove by. It sits on a corner and is quite small but gave it a chance. We were 2nd in line, then 1st. The windows were dirty and no one in the diner looked like they were in any rush to leave. The windows were dirty and no one in the diner looked like they were in any rush to leave. One waitress who may have been the owner never made eye contact with us, but after 30 minutes of standing there waiting we caught her attention and she tells us they're busy and are shutting down the place. Strange because throughout Ottawa there were places that had people waiting on the street and one that told us it was a 2 hour wait but no place was shutting down. Needless to say we weren't welcomed there so we left.

Cute little place, Old but the people and the food is worth it . Friendly staff. Good for small kids too.
Family friendly place for breakfast in gatineau. Food was good and portions were big. Waitress was helpful.
We went there in a group and the general feeling was disappointment. to stick to my personal opinion:For a lunch restaurant, prices were rather high, especially for a not particularly popular neighborhood and for a weekday morning, where you can usually find discounts in this kind of restaurant. The fruits were very ordinary and little varied (less than apples, some grapes (including a patty) and some melon of water...). there wasn't a great variety of lunches in the eggs (1 offer of golden bread, 2 pancakes, 1 bagel, nothing else, no muffins, croissants, waffles or other types of pancakes). Also disappointed to see that they charge 1$ for maple syrup (a tiny gobelet.) we're in the canada, it should be included, or at least, I should use It's a shame they take advantage of things like that to make an easy profit. same for orange juice glass at $3.25 for commercial juice (not pressed on site) is abusive. The bacon was really excellent, but it is unfortunately the only element of my lunch I can say that. the service was good and considering the size of our group, fast. I heard good comments, but I'm not going back.
