This restaurant is wonderful to visit. My husband and I started going there when I was pregnant, and now we bring our child with us. Paula, the owner, is a kind lady who cooks incredibly well. Every time I eat there, it reminds me of the feeling I would get when going to my grandma's for lunch: delicious food made just for me! View all feedback.
What Kenna Schimmel doesn't like about Bistro Casa Paula:
The food is good, but the portions are small and you walk out of there still hungry and spent way more on pasts then you should have. It a cute place if you want to have a private dinner with friends, family or a couple. View all feedback.
I had lunch with a group of 8 colleagues at Casa Paula several weeks ago on a weekday. It is located on a major street in a small town, close, the Ottawa river and walking trail is just a minute down the road. The restaurant is cozy and spotless, with plenty of windows. It is run by a friendly great lady who makes her own delicious mango, balsamic, and tartar sauces/dressings.The dishes that we ordered included vegetable soup with meatball, smoked meat sandwich, pan fried cod, salmon, gluten free dishes, maple cheese cake, chocolate cheese cake, etc. We were all very happy with the food and the price. I went there again for dinner on a Saturday night with three adult family members. The soups of the day were cream of mushroom, and vegetable soup with meatball (see photo,) both were delicious. For main course, we had chicken breast brochette, which was very juicy; jumbo shrimp and scallop brochette that was very fresh and sweet; and pan fried cod- a very generous portion that was sweet, not greasy, and one of the best in town. The dishes came with either green salad on a bed a of rice, or French fries, we all chose the former, see photos. The salad is very fresh, and the rice was surprisingly flavourful and well seasoned. We have rice regularly and we were impressed. For dessert, we all shared a piece of Key Lime pie (generous portion,) it was excellent. With a litre of white wine (Australian,) the bill came to $140, including taxes. The quality of food, especially the pan fried cod, is among the best in Ottawa-Gatineau, but not dressed up as those in fancy restaurants where you pay much more for. She opens 7 days a week, six of which is from 7 am to 8 pm (I have reads good reviews about her breakfast.) Bistro Casa Paula does not have a website or business card, but it is a gem, I highly recommend it. We will definitely go back for the great food and friendly service.

Good, but you don't get very much for what you paid for, so it make it difficult to not go to somewhere else for my money worth
Very nice little restaurant with small terrace on the side when the temperature is at the rendezvous. We're using home-made health recipes. simply tell paula your special tastes. It will do its best to enjoy your meal. paula (the owner) is proud of its freshly layed chicken eggs. The henhouse is located in the back. Enjoy your appetite!
Quaint little cafe. Absolutely incredible service and quality. $4.75 for a breakfast I could barely finish.. Fresh homemade. What else do you need?
