Twin Tops Fish Camp - Gastonia

They have changed. Salt and pepper is too much and plain is nothing. Over 20 years of enjoying their food is much too different, It was so good the way it was. I think I spoke with the owner, he said that he was the one who orders the food. It's not that, twin tops food is not good anymore.I don't care about the price but the last 2 times was I was 100 per cent disappointed.

Really sad they don't offer dinning room service anymore. The 2 girls were very friendly and polite. Food was ok. FF were just warm. What the call scallops are truly bay scallops. Almost all were no bigger then a finger nail. They upcharged for 3 combo and they are selling bay scallops for sea scallops. We have been going to Twin Tops for over 40 years and it used to be the best out of all the fish camps. Not anymore. Unless they go back to what they use to do they are not going to last much lo ger. Really sad. Parking: Absolutely no other cars were there. Fridays used tobe packed. Now no-one.

Twin Tops has ALWAYS been our favorite fish camp for 50 years! We were disappointed in the taste of the food. It’s just so different now. The flounder filet was thin (very little fish) and tough. It tasted like “fish jerky”. The fried mushrooms tasted like they were cooked in turpentine. The salt and pepper catfish was ok but you couldn’t really taste the salt and pepper. The tartar sauce was still real good (best I’ve had anywhere else). Fries, hush puppies, baked potato, tea and slaw were still very good. There is also a big difference in the amount of food we get now. Before a half order looked more like a full order. Now the full order looks more like a half order. We are aware that Twin Tops is having construction issues and is now under new management. We will try them again in the future and just hope this time was just a fluke.

Had hair wrapped around my hush puppies the most disgusting thing ruined the whole meal and wasted my money

Paid $90 for 4 supposed specials, which was overpriced, then didn't get all my items that were supposed to be in it and then got food poisoning cause had nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea pretty bad after eating it ? that lasted 2-days, should have called health services on them... do not recommend this place at all. Eat at your own risk. LKTrash
