Don't miss this authentic taco shop in the older section of west Gastonia. All of the classic tacos--carnitas, barbacoa, pollo, lengua (beef tongue) and more--served on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. What Imogene Emard doesn't like about El Paraiso:
Worst Mexican food ever, the burrito not wrapped, cold and cheese not melted. The chips are nacho chips, I'm sorry but it's disgusting. Not Mexican authentic food sorry. View all feedback.
I didn't receive a receipt for my debit card payment. The drive-thru was quite slow. I ordered everything with easy cheese, but when I got home, I found that the tomato was missing.
We heard about this restaurant from a couple of complete strangers, and we love how friendly everyone is in North Carolina. Dining here feels so authentic. It was a great sign when we saw that the place was packed, with almost all the customers speaking Spanish! We tried a lot of tacos and can’t wait to come back to sample more items from the menu.

The ride was very slow. Several cars gave up and left before the order. The lady who collected the payment did not wear a mask. I don't know if the rules have changed. The food was as expected.
I'm sorry but this is NOT good at all... these were store bought NACHO chips and the salsa tastes the same(Not real tortilla chips homemade salsa). My actual sope was soggy and the meat had no flavor. Everything tasted like water. Unfortunately this place is a no-go for me.
