The fries were undercooked, and the chicken on the sandwich was stale and tough. Overall, I did not enjoy the food during this visit.

Next time I'm adding something to the biscuit. I was driving today so didn't want a mess but on the plus side the biscuit did not crumble. I recommend Jack's as often as you want. Eat at Jack's.

Please, just serve me what I actually order. I won’t be coming back to the Gardendale location. The Fultondale location has it down; they always get my order correct.

The... read more This Jack's often seems to lack homemade ranch dressing, and my food is frequently old or cold. Sometimes, the chicken is too tough to eat and has no crust. The mashed potatoes are usually served without gravy, and when they do have it, it's like gelatin. The steak and gravy often lack onions or the onions are undercooked. The biscuits are as hard as rocks. Today, the woman at the drive-thru window was quite rude when I asked if they had made any ranch dressing, as I'm tired of finding none available. She told me they didn't have time to make any and seemed upset with me for asking. I've noticed the manager often goofing off, like smoking outside and chatting with people. When I’ve politely complained, she does fix the issue, but it feels like she doesn't care about improving the overall experience. This isn't a social hangout; it's a place meant to serve the people of Gardendale quality food. It shouldn't be so hard, but it seems like no one is invested in making it better. As someone who works in the food industry, this is incredibly frustrating. A manager should serve and lead by example. If you’re working in food, you shouldn’t serve anything that you wouldn't eat yourself. Stop making excuses, take initiative, and get things done!
