Finding this Shoppe was like finding a true diamond in the rough. It's an experience. You travel in place. The moment you walk up to the door you feel you are already heading into something amazing with the beautiful landscaping and flowers. Once you step in, you realize it's truly authentic. I enjoyed pleasant conversations with other customers who were excited to tell me about how good the cheese is and I sampled a piece myself. Then I experienced a surprising journey around the world of cheeses! Absolutely sensational! I wish I didn't live so far away but I'm so glad we drove past it and then circled back on our way home! I learned a lot and I brought home some delicious cheeses that I'm still enjoying!! If I'm ever in the area again, I'm definitely going back.
This cheese shop was everything we were looking for! We loved the vibe of the shop, aesthetically pretty, and super clean. this is definitely a hidden gem shop to hit if you are driving through Gap PA and need some delicious cheese!!! The owner of the shop told us the history of the shop, and gave us wonderful service. We will definitely be returning ?
Who knew Gouda can come from multiple animals and in mild, medium or sharp? The gentleman who runs this cheese shop! Fifth generation owner and very knowledgeable. Worth the stop.
Fantastic cheese shop! Bill, the owner, is wonderful at suggesting which cheeses may suit your palate. Great experience. Wonderful cheeses.
I read all of the Yelp reviews before going to the shop for the first time. I 've also two friends who are regular customers.2 reviews were bad, one about the owner and one about the selection. They definitely had merit. 20% of the cheeses were either processed American (like his smoked gouda) or available at popular supermarkets. The review about the owner...He 's like the soup n but more condescending. He 's got a shtick that most people like, but sensitive people don 't. He also told me that I was eating the brie too fast but it was definitely not "yelling "That said, his brie was superior, oozing off of the crust. I bought a layered Bleu and Cheddar mix. I experienced Bug Cheese. I learned a lesson in social graces, and learned a cheese or two.
