Words can't adequately describe the delicious... read more After reading the other reviews, I was on the lookout for Fix and was thrilled to find them at the Tuesday market. Words can't adequately describe the delicious taco I enjoyed. In hindsight, I regret not taking a picture as it was both delicious and a work of art. My brother (who ordered with me) mentioned at least 10 times over the next few days how much he enjoyed his pulled pork with deep-fried avocado combo taco. One of the best meals I've had. Ever.

This is not your average taco or even your better than average taco - these tacos should be in food category of their own. A fork is required and every bite is a savoury treat. Baby kale (grown by them on a farm on Salt Spring) with some special yummy citrusy sauce on top of a home made tortilla. There's another option with pulled pork as well. If you are on Salt Spring Island - find out where their cart is parked and seek them out. My last treat was at the Salt Spring Saturday Market - and was enjoyed with their neighbour's keffir apple/ginger/lemon ade - perfect combo if you're lucky enough to find them both together.

Myself and my kids all had to... read more Fix was at the Salt Spring Island Garlic Festival in August. My husband ordered the deep-fried avocado and pulled pork combo taco. Myself and my kids all had to try. It was so amazing that we couldn't help taking more bites. My poor husband had to get another one and then me and my two kids each had to get our own as well. I didn't even think I'd like deep fried avocado, but I am now a believer. It was lightly coated, perfectly seasoned and crispy in the outside and not at all greasy. Serious taco heaven.
