Do yourself a favour and skip the big chain places and go here. Local owner Betty and her friendly staff will give you the inside scoop on local things. And the food is great! I've had the burger platters and they are handmade patties and hand cut fries done just right. The BBQ burger is the best burger in town. Next I'll try the cod fish and chips... What an adorable dive diner! It's a gem, we had fish cakes, chowder and French onion soup and it was very satisfying.
For a pub.... There food is spectacular. It's different then you would expect but this place shouldn't be overlooked.

read moreThe restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly service and hearty meals, making it a hidden gem in Gander. The French Onion soup is a standout dish while the burgers are hit or miss. The restaurant has a homey feel and offers good value with daily specials. The BBQ burger comes highly recommended. Although the exterior may not impress, the real Newfoundland dishes on the menu are authentic and well-prepared. Overall, this is a spot worth visiting for a taste of local cuisine and genuine hospitality.

The staff at this restaurant was exceptional, the music was great, and the atmosphere was awesome. They treated us very well.
