Was Anonym at Rosie's Bakery a mag?
We arrived at 530 pm and were immediately seated. Our server gave us each water, then took our orders, which arrived about 15 mins after we ordered. Very good seafood platter, not all deep-fried items for a change. The Jigg's Dinner on a Thursday was lovely, as well, and included dessert. What Anonym dislikes about Rosie's Bakery:
I chose this spot for our family based on reviews suggesting good value after breaking the bank at St. John's restaurants. The food was very good - like home cooking as reviews say. Menu prices were good but I was shocked at checkout that we were charged for Parmesan cheese that my husband asked for, for his spaghetti & meatballs, and for some extra gravy I asked for toward the end of my turkey dinner - I needed a li... We brought a few items to be enjoyed along our trip.

This is one large, open dining room with no dividers, etc. between tables. It can be noisy but the service is good and rather quick. The menu is varied and prices are average. However, it is the bakery that catches your eye as you enter the restaurant! You will definitely be taking something home with you - and it is so good!

As someone with celiac disease, I am thrilled to find restaurants that truly understand gluten-free dining, and this place is a gem. I ordered the chicken strips and fries, with a side of gravy, and everything was gluten-free and absolutely delicious! The staff were friendly and made me feel at ease, which is such a comforting feeling when dining out. The crispy yet fluffy fries and the crunchy, juicy chicken strips were simply heavenly. I also got a cheesecake to take home and even managed to snap a photo of the last bite – it was that good! If you're a celiac and find yourself in Gander, you definitely need to check this place out!
