The Hardiman Afternoon Tea - Galway

The service was a bit slow, and the Earl Grey tea wasn't quite right. The menu could be more economical, but the portion sizes were adequate.

The high tea snacks offered a delightful mix of sweet and savory flavors, perfectly balanced. While some snacks were freshly prepared just before serving, others were left uncovered for a while. The server seemed a bit overwhelmed and hurried. Overall, I enjoyed the experience, and there was plenty to eat.

Additionally, when we booked, we were quoted €25 for two children's teas, but we were charged €30 instead. It's these little things that can really sour an experience. During our afternoon tea, the bill was brought to our table quite early. The waitress, in her own words, said she was "headed to the door." When we expressed that we would like more tea or coffee, she suggested that we should contact her colleagues instead. This meant leaving our seats not once, but twice, to search for someone at the bar. There was no staff member in the afternoon tea area to check in on us, and we felt somewhat forgotten. Even when it came to settling our bill, we had to seek out the staff’s attention multiple times. Overall, we were left feeling neglected, and it's disappointing because we had hoped for a wonderful celebration in such a prime location. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Beautiful afternoon, mary our Maitre”d was great. Despite the hectic nature of the venues different bars and dining areas served our needs. an absolute profi and claims the hotel. thank you mary!

Lovely setting, but the afternoon tea itself was quite dissapointing. We also had a kids afternoon tea which was wholly unsuited to a child, essentially the exact same as the adult tea, just a smaller portion.
