Very pleasant staff and tasty seafood. What seemed to me a questionable choice is serving mussels in reinforced cardboard. But hey, it worked! Give it a visit. You'll eat well for a tenner and even better for double! I'll be coming back! View all feedback.

We came here in search of a traditional Irish coffee. It was raining heavily outside! The staff weren't overly friendly but they were polite. The Irish coffee was delicious and we had a great time. View all feedback.

Called in for a late breakfast while walking along Quay street, Served by a pleasant young lady , I didnt fancy a full breakfast so asked if I could just have 2 fried eggs and bacon and a pot of tea ,No problem she said. I appreciate that not much can go wrong with such a simple order, and indeed it didnt I really enjoyed the food I had and would definitely return.
Wow, grumpy staff and lukewarm food that wasn 't very nice. We arrived 20 minutes before the kitchen was about to close. Rather than be told sorry you 've left it a bit late for dinner but we 'd love to see you another time or sure, come on in and we 'll look after you the grumpy woman (who we think was the manageress) told us we could eat if we were quick . It was said with attitude. Hey, nice welcome. Stupidly we decided to enter. We were shown upstairs into a dark room. The lights were then turned on. A minute later another couple were ushered upstairs, and then another couple. Bizarre, as moments before we had been told the kitchen was about to close! Despite the restaurant 's original need for speed, we were all left alone for what seemed like ages. Five minutes after eventually ordering though, our soup and vegetable curry arrived (in other words it certainly wasn 't freshly made). The soup tasted like a large packet of salt had been tipped into it, and the vegetable curry was served lukewarm (I suspect it had been under heated in a microwave), and it wasn 't actually that nice. As we picked at our food (we didn 't feel like finishing it), we spoke to one of the other couples who were so disgusted with their food that they got up and left without hardly touching it and the other couple were still waiting for their food when we decided to call it a night. Two free tips for the manageress: There is no excuse for rudeness politely turn us away, or make us welcome. But don 't treat customers as if they are an inconvenience. Also, monitor the quality of the food that you are serving. One of our meals was disgustingly salty and the other was served lukewarm at best. Had you been polite, made us feel welcome, served hot food that was of reasonable quality then you would have got a decent rating. As it stands, our experience was terrible.
This morning, after an unexpected late night in Galway, we visited Riordan's for breakfast. We both ordered the full Irish breakfast and it was delicious. At €9 each, it was great value for money. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I accidentally left my bag behind, but they held onto it for me until I returned about an hour later. Overall, Riordan's is exactly what you would expect from a good Irish cafe. I have no complaints and highly recommend it.
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance while searching for somewhere to eat. The food was delicious and the staff were kind and welcoming. The atmosphere was very cozy.
