Thanks to a recommendation from our Rough Guide, we veered away from the swarms of tourists and popped in here for lunch. I enjoyed a seafood chowder and a bowl of steaming mussels and my husband hake filet, the dish of the day. The fish just needed a bit more flavour and the chowder a little less cream. Otherwise, good value, good servings and friendly service.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, and the food was delicious. The wait staff was excellent.
My wife and I stopped in for breakfast prior to a trip. The older gentleman behind the bar was absolutely wonderful. He was engaging, funny and at times I bit humorous with stern suggestions that were spot on. The mini breakfast was still filling and the tea here was perfect. The atmosphere here was great for visitors and we felt at home in no time. Before leaving the older gentleman asked what our plans were and offered advice on which route to take on our trip to better see Ireland and what it offers. This advice did not disappoint and ended up being one of our favorite experiences on our trip.
This restaurant is a must! I set out to have fish and chips in every city we visited on our UK vacation. This was the fifth restaurant I ordered it and it was by far the best! Perfect cooked and a large portion. My wife had the salmon and said it was spectacular. For dessert we had a tart made of Biscoff shortbread cookies and it was amazing. It is a very relaxing environment and the wait staff is very friendly. Definitely a must visit!
