I always have good experiences. I usually go there to buy Cheese. They do have good selections of bakery goods including pies !!!

Without a doubt, this is one of the best German bakeries I've ever visited. I tried another one in Texas, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the comparison. I told them I much prefer the one in Gainesville.
We almost missed Rumpy's but decided to turn around and give it a try. The bakery features a wide array of pies, cakes, and strudels, and there's also a meat market with a great selection of meats. We ended up purchasing an apple cream strudel, German sausage, and Polish sausage. The strudel alone is worth a three-hour drive!
