Food is excellent and really very quickly cooked. The menu is extensive includes other Asian foods, I had the Hibachi shrimp and my wife had the sesame chicken. And we were very pleased with both selections. It was a bit difficult to find if your not familiar with the area as we weren't. Asian food in Thackerville Oklahoma, this is the place to go. What Zach Venner doesn't like about Fuku Japanese Grill:
First and last time that I will ever eat here again. Very low quality sushi and zero flavor. It was nasty in the restaurant as was the food. Unfortunately, I wasted my time, money, and food.. cause I dumped it in the trash. View all feedback.

Ordered the sashimi salad, crab rangoons, takoyaki, and dumplings. The sashimi itself was ok nothing special, but the salad part was just a hunk of some lettuce, wad of seaweed salad, and old carrots at the bottom with soy sauce. Also the thinnest slices of tuna I’ve ever had. The crab rangoons were VERY sweet, almost no crab? The flecks that were there made it better, but they were still not great. Dumplings were fine in flavor..Not the worst, but they had clearly been on some sort of low warming light because they were barely lukewarm when we got them. The worst was the takoyaki. Again the flavor was okay, but the way it was made was terrible. Probably also ready made and warmed, but the insides were completely batter texture and liquidy. The waitress claimed that they’re “just like that” and when we wanted to take them back she said we just “didn’t like them” so she charged us for it anyway lol. Isn’t that how taking back food works? You don’t like it and get comped ESPECIALLY if it has to do with an issue of the way it’s been cooked? Atmosphere was listening to early 2000s pop in a group of dingy, small tables. Overall this place sucks.. no clue why it’s almost 4.5 stars LOL. Never coming back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
This is my go to sushi spot in North Texas. I love everything from the cute dishes to the presentation and the amazing taste. Extremely friendly and fast service, always smiling. I would suggest eating here from anything like a casual lunch or a business dinner
Really great sushi and hibachi grill! Very unexpected that we found this in Gainesville but the food and service are super. House sake was really good. We noticed they even have lobster on the menu. Definitely will be back soon. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Sushi Rolls
I must say this was the best experience we have ever had at Fuku Japanese Grill in Gainesville Texas. We love the habatchi and sushi there. What made this experience so great was the excellent service from our server. We explained that we were in no hurry because it was date night and asked her to serve us one course at a time and keep the beer coming. She kept an eye on us the entire time and would wait for us to nod at her before serving the next part of our meal. Her service was perfect and we did not feel rushed as we usually do at this restaurant. If you choose to dine at this restaurant, and I would suggest that you try it, ask for Mia to be your server. You won't regret it. Also, we feel very lucky to have this kind of Japanese restaurant in our little town of Gainesville.
