Hurricane Btw - Gainesville
Hurricane Btw
Description
Nestled conveniently near campus, this restaurant boasts a diverse menu featuring burgers, wings, and tacos. While some patrons rave about the prompt service and generous portions, others express dissatisfaction with the quality of food. Issues such as overcooked burgers, soggy sides, and inconsistent flavor have been reported. A few enjoyed the Cajun dry rub wings and the patio ambiance, but complaints about food safety and unfavorable experiences have left a lasting impression. Overall, while the setting and service receive praise, the culinary experience appears varied, leaving diners divided on whether to return.

I love coming here about once a week to sit out on the patio. Everything is nice and open and there is fast and great service—the staff is great! Best of all, the food always comes out hot and fresh. Love the 5 dollar Beer and Burger special!
The beer was ok , the service was fine ,but the burger was the worst i’ve ever tried , no flavor and it’s not just over cooked but burnt both the bread and the meat. We asked for a replacement and they gave us burgers with old cold bread . Will never come back
I was excited to try this spot. Burgers, tacos, AND wings?! Sounds like the perfect place. Alas, no. All sides (fries, sweet potato tots, and onion rings) were soggy. Limp, sad, wet, yuck. The hamburgers were over cooked. Everything was cooked in old grease. One of the people eating in our party described it as the worst onion ring he 'd ever had . And since he 's about 75 years old, I imagine he 's had a lot of onion ring eating experience. Quite a testament. Don 't go.
The Christmas FE students are really lucky to have this restaurant located just around the corner from campus! The burgers here are even better than BurgerFi and surpass most other burger places in Gainesville. My order arrives incredibly quickly! Be sure to grab your drink and settle in because your food is served as soon as you sit down. The portion sizes are generous enough that you might need a takeout box. I’m excited to return, even though it’s a 45-minute trip!
