Beque Holic - Gainesville
Beque Holic
Description
At Beque Holic, the all-you-can-eat experience entices with a range of offerings, notably the flavorful beef bulgogi. While some dishes like dumplings and crispy pork could be improved, the atmosphere is spacious and conducive for gatherings. However, inconsistent service has drawn criticism, with reports of slow responses and forgotten orders. Issues with meat quality and grill control have also been highlighted. Despite its appeal, including a selection of cocktails, recent changes in menu items and sauces have led to disappointment. Overall, Beque Holic presents a unique dining experience, though repeat visits might come with caveats.

After returning from a celebrated event, my husband and I decided to dine at a Korean BBQ restaurant, one of our favorite cuisines that we always seek out to try. We were not disappointed! The restaurant had a charming and cozy ambiance with dim lighting, creating an intimate atmosphere perfect for a romantic date night. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes that were new to us, even though we are regulars at Korean BBQ restaurants. The meat was of high quality and very fresh, with a diverse range of options including Korean fried chicken, which was a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent, with our waiter being attentive and providing us with great recommendations. The soju was served in the cutest glasses I have ever seen, and the mango soju was a delightful treat. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience, and we are already looking forward to returning next year.
My friends and I went there for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy and were able to sit down immediately. Our waiter was amazing and very helpful so were the other staff who helped us. Majority of the food was really amazing! The creamy bulgogi, pork kalbi and the Korean fried chicken wings were my favorite! The drinks were good as well could’ve been a little bit stronger! The only con was some of the food was a little flavorless like the shrimp and NY Steak. And I also wish they had noodles. But other than that it was a really nice restaurant with a great atmosphere and good food. I would recommend going!
We got the AYCE option, definitely recommend the beef bulgogi, it was really tasty and flavorful. Dumplings were fresh but not as tasty as it should be. I think overall it’s a little pricey for the quality and service they’re offering.
We recently dined at this restaurant for dinner and found that the price per person ranged from $20 to $30. We gave a rating of 5 for the food and service. The atmosphere was also good, receiving a rating of 4. We highly recommend trying dishes such as the Pork Katsu, Spicy Pork, Brisket, and Steak.
My group of 3 went out of town to watch the UK vs UF game and decided to visit this restaurant. I called ahead to check if we needed reservations, but we were seated right away. Our waiter greeted us and explained the menu thoroughly, helping us find the best price options. The food was delicious and we even had leftovers. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Gainesville. As for kid-friendliness, my 5 year old enjoyed having the option to cook his own dinner with parental supervision.
