Afternoon - Gainesville

This is truly a hidden gem in Gainesville. Great breakfast options. Homemade bread and pastries. Delicious egg dishes with a middle Eastern flair. Johnny cakes are actually pancakes with a corn flair. Highly recommend it if you want a break from atraditional diner breakfast.

Definitely pricey but worth the quality and freshness of the food you’re getting. I’ll be back to try other items for sure. It’s a great spot to both enjoy your own company or with a group of friends.

Afternoon takes the simplest ingredients, all natural and organic and blends them together to create palate pleasing menu selections. Expect a wait for a table and possibly a wait for your food but amazing food results come to those who wait. I had a side salad and whipped feta toast and both were better than I hoped and my expectations were high already. Soooo good! Love Afternoon in Gainesville Florida!

Overall a pretty positive experience. I felt like the employees could have been *friendlier* but that’s really besides the point, it was busy. What would have a helluva difference is a wrap awning around the entire side of the building to make the waiting more bearable, other than that, food was a 10/10. Will be returning!

Yes yes yes! 100x worth visiting! The pastries were AMAZING and unique! Loved the food. There’s something for everyone here!
