The Grill - Fylde
The Grill
Description
Nestled in a picturesque setting, this trendy restaurant offers a mixed bag of culinary experiences. While the appetizers, dinners, and breakfast impress with excellent service and delightful flavors, some guests have found certain meals, like afternoon tea, lacking in variety and taste. Issues such as lukewarm dishes and overpriced items have led to disappointment. However, the cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and notable spa facilities make it an appealing destination for those seeking a treat. Overall, the establishment's potential shines through, yet it struggles with consistency, leaving some diners hesitant to return.

Great but no where near enough food and I am only small (size 8). Aside from that great service, v friendly, cozy atmosphere, choice of wines, all good. Breakfast was great plenty of food and could ask for more if wanted.
We couldn't find any fault at all with this wonderful restaurant. The service was exceptional, especially from the sommelier, Les. The food was delicious, the wine was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lovely. This was our first visit but definitely won't be our last. Absolutely fantastic. X
Afternoon tea for a friends 40th birthday, food was wonderful no complaints whatsoever we all enjoyed it very much. service very disappointing as mentioned by others, non attentive, no offer of more drinks, very long waits for more drinks once finally ordered, this definitely needs addressing. no one came to take payment or tell us to head to the till after asking for our bill, i would 100% return for the food but not the service.
The appetizers, including prawn cocktail and pate, were very good. We both ordered the steak frites, which had a decent steak but a cold pepper sauce. The fries were lukewarm and had to be reheated, and there was nothing else served with it for the price of 18 pounds, which we felt was very poor value. The desserts were nice but overpriced. The service was excellent, but overall, we felt that the restaurant was very overpriced and we won't be returning.
I took a friend out for afternoon tea at this restaurant. I had enjoyed it in the past, but unfortunately, this time the experience was not worth the money. The sandwiches were tasteless and the scones were very dry. The cake selection was decent but quite small. The pea croquettes and cheese savoury items were the highlights. The staff may need additional training as they did not come back to offer more drinks and had to be stopped as they walked by. It's disappointing to have to leave this review as the location is convenient for me, but there are many other popular options in the area to choose from.
