Which was excellent. Whelans Lytham did not disappoint.

Main reason for posting a review is to compliment the waitress who served us tonight for the way she helped a very elderly customer who was on the next table. The gentleman was struggling with his mobility and also his hearing which meant he needed a lot of time and patience. He was treated with a great deal of respect and empathy which was great to see.

Beautiful thick pieces of cod in light batter, chips, mushy peas, fresh bread, and 2 pots of coffee that held 2 cups each, freshly cooked and piping hot. Delicious and cooked to perfection. Great service and a warm welcome too. Would definitely visit again.

The lady and man behind the counter were lovely and I’m thinking it’s not their own business. But however owns it needs to take a serious look at the quality of the food they are selling. The peas were cold. The chips were poor quality potatoes, the fish was fresh but batter not good at all. Bread and butter very poor quality and dry. Such a shame because Lytham High street is making a great effort to attract visitors. Sadly we won’t be buying food from their again. Feel really sad about this and urge the owners to re look at their business.
