Since the superior room we booked with two beds had a connecting door, we assumed it might be needed for a family (we weren't given a reason). When we returned, a smaller room awaited us with a hard bed (a mattress) instead of the two twin beds we had booked and confirmed. In addition, the air conditioning is much louder. The owner has planned for what can happen. However, this was not communicated to us. Neither when checking in nor before changing rooms. This is out of style and unprofessional. But he met us and didn't charge for the last night. Without the problem the hotel would have 5 stars.

The hotel is in a good location if you are going to or from the ferry. It takes about 15 20 minutes by car to Bastia. The beach is sandy, large and clean, and the part behind the hotel is also nicely landscaped. The hotel restaurant is cozy and tastefully decorated, and its terrace is right on the beach with a view of the sea. Several tables where you can have a drink or coffee are even right on the beach on the carpet (interesting idea : . The service is pleasant and helpful, we were really surprised that even at the hint of sun or rain, the service immediately brought umbrellas to each table. The selection of food is appropriate for the price category of the hotel and we liked it. The rooms are in separate houses nearby and are nicely furnished. Unfortunately, the garden that separates the houses from the beach is no longer so pretty. It looks like it has not been maintained for a long time, so you go to the beach among the bushes. Parking is excellent in the private parking lot directly in front of the house where you are staying, or in front of the main hotel building, where visitors to the restaurant also come. Overall, however, this is a hotel I would return to.
