We had an amazing experience at Le Kalao and highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. Really friendly service from the moment we walked to the entrance, all the way to the end of our meal. Very attentive people throughout, going above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant meal. The food itself, absolutely delicious. My husband had a huge portion of mussels in coconut curried sauce which he almost didn't manage to finish. I had the pork in a filo pastry roll, which had potatoes and salad as sides, a very generous portion, well presented, and tasted lovely. We shared oysters from the nearby Diana étang, which were tasty. We will be back if we return to visit Corsica! Thank you!!
The best furiani restaurant! Fresh fish, crustaceans, meats all there! I recommend pasta to spider or lobster. Excellent also the Kalao pasta that I would let you discover in surprise. The welcome is nice and the very beautiful interior setting. The ratio quality price is ideal Frankly nothing to say!
Attention to the price of wine glasses!! They are not displayed and extremely expensive , 8€ the glass of white wine (without special call), Nothing justifies this rate nor the quality served nor the view on a car park on the road. It's really a shame because the rest is top, the kitchen is good and the friendly service. But we're out of the restaurant with the impression of being scammed on the wine. Prices to review and map to improve to announce the price!!!

Sentiment: disappointing.. It is an establishment that we frequent several times in the year often with family or with our friends and that was high quality before, it has not been too much for some time and no change at the beginning of the year. The only thing that hasn’t changed too much is the quantities even if it’s variable you don’t always know what to expect the chef often changes his recipes or sometimes even mistakes a dish when it comes to à la carte fish, not dramatic but a little painful when it happens several times. Meat is no longer the same, much less tender and less tasteful for much more loss: nerves and fat. The mussels are less large than before, and those of their coconut specialty are the impression that the cream is simply placed on, often cold and become “banal” in taste. The desserts vary but usually too sweet or lack of taste (depending on dessert) and the value ratio is not good at 8.50 euros especially when it puts time to be served. Instead, turn to the ice if they have not changed a supplier or otherwise cheesecake and mellow, which is actually a melt, chocolate. The service is generally mixed. A friendly waiter who was there from the beginning until 3 months ago is no longer there, another one is there from time to time and is very familiar to the point of becoming embarrassing because you don’t come to the restaurant to discover a “friend” a bit sticky! Another negative point: the cleanliness of the toilet leaves to be desired including at the beginning of the service. Otherwise, the atmosphere and the decor are pleasant and it is a human-sized structure you are rather welcomed. To sum up you should come back as it was at the opening.! There was nothing to say!!
