Soup and limpets were OK nothing extraordinary. Bolo de caco was not great compared to other we have had. The mains were really poor. I ordered fish..wish tasted of fish therefore not fresh. It was full of bones (I don't mean one or two and wasn't served as a whole fish so it should have been prepared better and been fresher. I couldn't eat it. The pork dish was OK but again average. Seemed very short staffed. Plenty of better places to eat in Funchal

I think they forgot about the starter, and brought it last minute.

The food was as good as any of the top pl... read more We had several top restaurants during our time in Madeira. We found this restaurant while shopping. It's family owned. The food was as good as any of the top places we hate it and definitely much more affordable. The espatada was done very well not over cooked and seasoned well. Had a fish dish passion fruit it was amazing and tender. The prawns were also incredible and large five large on a dish with two beers and a coffee three plates was 45 Euros this place is amazing satisfying and we will definitely eat again here. He also interesting thing is it's not on the main side in Madeira , so it's a great place to locate to go do some great shopping in this hidden section there's tons of little restaurants and cafes it's near me cathedral I would definitely go there have a bite and walk around this Old City and hidden cafes
