The young chap who mainly looked after us saved the day and the food was good but we didn't linger and won't be rushing back.

Been here again tonight and have had a terrific welcome and fantastic food and drink. I urge you all to come here if you can. Let the waiter choose the wine and you choose the food. You will enjoy yourself here in a friendly and relaxed environment where they take your enjoyment seriously and personally

We always have the sliced picanha, I love the sweet... read more Whenever we visit Funchal, we always have to go to Beef Wines, it has been amazing every time we have gone! We always have the sliced picanha, I love the sweet potatoes and cabbage to go with it and then chocolate mouse with a sweet maderia wine to finish is sublime. If you are in funchal and enjoy eating incredible meat, would defiantly recommenced you go. My vegan friends probably wouldn't enjoy it though.

Great theatr... read more We hadn't booked but were told they could fit us in. We had the sliced picanha and were not disappointed. They slice it off a skewer at your table. Great theatrics. It was the best steak I have ever had. There was so much, it was never ending. They only stop when you can't eat any more. Staff and the service were excellent and with wine, dessert and coffee came to a very reasonable €75. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Madeira.

We were sat at the c... read more We pre booked as we heard it's always busy, and I can see why. The decor is very classy and we were greeted by a lovely friendly gentleman. We were sat at the chefs table so a great viewing point. We ordered food first then wines, when the food came out it's looked and smelt delicous and tasted wonderful. The whole experience was fabulous, You won't be disappointed.
