After I grew up in newport beach, later seattle and finally, san francisco, with numerous travel to new orleans in the usa, I have developed sophisticated tastb... read more After I grew up in newport beach, later seattle and finally, san francisco, with numerous travel to new orleans in the usa, I have developed sophisticated tastbuden and am not easily impressed. kodea is amazing, from the loving, baked in the house, until the veggie sandwich lubricated with pesto sauce! my intention is to eat the rest of my meal while in madeira in kodea. two thumbs up

Very disappointing experience. Calling this a bakery is a joke: they’ve had 10 breads on a tiny shelf in the corner of the shop. No menu available if you want to eat there. Two sandwiches available, pre-cooked and warmed if you order. Terrible service. The waitress was rude and struggled to answer questions like, ingredients of the sandwiches, etc. No child seats available. Food tasteless despite this is owned by a ‘chef’, apparently. Please do not call this a bakery! And please provide training to your staff. Family UNFRIENDLY. TO AVOID

Kodea is amazing, from the lovingly, in house baked goods, to the veggie sandwich smothered with pesto sauce! My intention is to eat the remainder of my meals while in Madeira at Kodea. Two thumbs up!
