First Round Draft Grill - Frisco
First Round Draft Grill
Description
A lively neighborhood gastropub balances solid bar food and creative frozen cocktails with a welcoming community vibe and big-screen sports viewing. Favorites include wings, pulled-pork nachos, cheese fries and a frozen Jack & Coke; beer is affordable and drink specials are common. Service is often attentive and the owner-chef is hands-on, though patrons report inconsistent treatment, strict ID enforcement and occasional serious staff incidents. Expect a casual, spirited spot for groups and game days — confirm ID policy before you go.

My name is Julio, and I'm from Miami. During the Christmas season, I was visiting my sister and looking for a place to grab a beer. Unfortunately, I had a frightening experience at this restaurant. A bartender, who was bald, almost attacked me and took my belongings without any explanation. My experience was truly terrifying, and I was left in shock. What should I do now? In Miami, we usually file charges for incidents like this. If anyone has gone through something similar, please send me a message.
The staff provides friendly and attentive service. I've had the opportunity to get to know the owner, who is also the chef, and they are genuinely nice people. It can get a bit lively when the local sports teams are playing, but for the most part, it's a relaxed atmosphere. The jukebox is fun, offering a mix of music both good and bad. Prices are reasonable, with special deals available on certain days. While there isn’t a happy hour, Shiner beer is always affordably priced, and there are specific drink specials too. I'm really glad to live nearby; it has a welcoming community feel and doesn't come off as a tourist trap or gimmicky bar. Additionally, having the NFL Sunday ticket is a fantastic bonus here.
If you're looking for a neighborhood bar, this is the spot. They offer fantastic prices on both food and beer. The menu consists of classic pub fare, but it's executed exceptionally well. You can't go wrong with a few Shiner beers. I also highly recommend trying their house-brewed lemon vodka.
Either this place is RACIST or Chad is. I came in here literally straight from home with zero drink in me at 11:50pm. Chad said “I saw you pull around and drive a straight way, I don’t feel comfortable serving you” lol. I was dumbfounded. The dude said, you can come back tomorrow… the condescending attitude. You lied on me with straight face! And I think the manager was seating watching it unfold. If I reacted, I’ll just be another black man over reacting? Smh. This is my first review of any establishment. Chad you must be happy. Hope your proud of yourself!
I brought my brothers and his friends here (ages between 21-24). My brother said the server was rude to them, as soon as my brothers sat down the server said I am very busy tonight so you better place your order now or wait a long time , but completed a whole 360 when adults came (just 10 mins later), then he was suddenly very available and charismatic. My brother thinks that maybe the guy thought they are just kids who have no money and no tip to give, so when the older people came, the guy suddenly became nicer. Food is okay, alcohol is okay. Would come back but will probably request for a different server.
