Well not quite the third part, but the munch and the crunch (which are two essential elements of doughnut texture) were certainly present in the correct proportions. I must say that recently I have become something of a doughnut snob. But also, being a traditionalist, I find it hard to gauge the 'amazingness' and 'awesomeness' of the more adventurous BBQ'd bacon infused, lychee covered, saffron cheesecake flavoured offerings (made up flavour BTW before you get excited!), so the plain 'traditional' Levis doughnut was always going to be a good yardstick for quality. And it was warm (happy dance).@ And it had crunch (double happy dance). It was like the ones I remember as a kid from the market caravans on cold Melbourne mornings!!! However, amidst the flood of fond memories I did find that I think I now prefer a denser dough. So whilst the crunch was crisp, the lightness of the inner portion left me a touch unsatisfied. If I can find one which combines the two, I be in heaven.....in size 1000 pants! But I'll tell you this, Levis produce the warm, market fresh doughnut that stirs those fond childhood memories, and for that nostalgic nourishment....I shall return!!!
