Dolce Vita Gelato - Fremantle

Been there numerous times, brought along family members and friends visiting from overseas and even if the service was never the best we would always come back for the gelato. I believe in supporting small local businesses so even when a new ice-cream franchise opened up around the corner we still chose to come back to Dolce Vita. Well I guess today was the last time... My husband ordered 2 scoops in a cup, as he always does. The young boy behind the counter handed over a cup that from the side looked empty. When we pointed out twice that he was a bit stingy on the size of the scoops he just ignored our comment and proceeded with the rest of our order. My husband told the boy he was not happy and the boy still didn't seem to care so we decided to cancel the order and walked out. Too bad. I don't think we'll be back any time soon.

Been here a few times and it's always been good ! ???? I had the bounty and salted caramel in a cone ($6.50), which was a generous size. Flavours were ???????? Reliable and would come back ????????

After a fabulous dinner at Holy Smokes, Some friends and I decided to treat ourselves to some ice cream. We decided to skip the usual cold rock and try somewhere else. I am a creature of habit and my go to Ice Cream flavour is Mint Choc Chip. Upon arrival the first thing I notice is that they are OUT of Mint Choc Chip! NOO How can this be? Damn... I will have to find another flavour.... We decided to sample the goods, I tried one & so did my other friend... Nope that ice cream flavour wasnt right... lets try something else... Sorry only one sample per person.. Ummm ok.... A Third friend whom had not sampled the goods asked to try something was then refused a sample.... Wait what? I'm sorry i didnt realise we were asking for you to murder your first born? After that we walked out... Moral of the Story is stick to what you know - Cold Rock here i come!

After having toured Freo, we were graving some gelato and decided to drop in here. There was a line, with one girl serving who was intently chatting in German while we all waited. After sometime they finished their conversation and then she started serving everyone else. We were next, but then another group walked in and she served them ignoring us. We must have been invisible and I was close to walking out. Apart from the lack of service the gelato were ok, I had the pistachio which was nice and creamy and good consistency. I also had the lemon gelato and the flavours were good, but it was a little lumpy. Based on poor service we are not coming back here.

The strawberry cheesecake ice cream here is something I now crave! It is just so good!!!!!!!! I strongly recommend trying it pronto! littlegirlbigfood.blogspot.com
