What Garrison Mraz doesn't like about Cafe Debretton And Bennett:
Out the back of the renovation and design shop and the decore shows the style. Provides heaters for warmth on a cold morning. Nice vegan plus meat options. We had the green bowls which were fine. Agree with another reviewer about the kale. Nice coffee. View all feedback.

New to High Street is this Café tucked in the back corner of the World of Renovation accessible from the street through the side alley. I went in through the side alley, and once I turned the corner was greeted with an impressive outdoor courtyard complete with outdoor wood burner, the interior is also fitted out very nicely, including an internal courtyard with exotic lanterns and hanging plants; you could almost think you were somewhere in the Mediterranean. I ordered at the counter a long Mac and the Provincial baked eggs, chorizo, kale, olives and garlic. Coffee came out quickly and was good and hot served in a glass. Brekkie came out on board with the eggs in a ramekin pan and two slices of crusty bread. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the chorizo gave it good spicy flavours. But for me, the kale spoiled the dish as it left a very watery soup in the pan. Perhaps the addition of a thick sauce base might have prevented this. Crusty bread was fresh and very nice. I guess they are still tweaking there menu. Staff were friendly, coffee was good, and the venue is beautiful. I will have to come back for their lunch menu soon.
