My wife and I stopped for lunch and had a great culinary experience. the food was excellent from the suppe to dessert. I had the brain fillet and my wife fish and both were excellent. the imperial beard should die. beyond eating. the atmosphere was warm and friendly and the host extremely friendly. warm recommended for those who love good eating and a great culinary experience.
As soon as they go to this restaurant, they feel comfortable. the ambiente is very comfortable. despite the menu in German and my German vocabulary, this was not a problem. a very helpful waitress came and helped us in the translation and. she did a great job, as the food was delicious. would be highly recommended and would not hesitate to go back.
There followed several speakers of friends who we dared in the obstgarten, who is known for his .fish specialties despite his name (medium obstgarten in german). First we appreciated the timing flexibility that arrives at 9 o'clock and welcomes that you don't. how late at night from a place. which is still common in this part of the Swiss fall, where the kitchen would necessarily close by 9 o'clock even in burning summer hot evenings (of which we had many lately). in the did they are greeted but the lady manager that they immediately feel comfortable. the ambiente is cozy, but not over demanding, a mix of family feeling and discreet elegance. if they want to impress their date with bling, this is not the place. eating is tasty, abundantly served and in harmony with the place more authentic than demanding. the fish is in the did very well cooked and prepared, te service is fast, but attentive. all in all a solid performance to reasonable praise. we will be back, even if something more bold and gastronomic creativity could be tried.
Good? yes! atmosphere? yes! service? yes! but what really the experience with this place is the unique, hearty host. roshnis aura and attitude is the second to none. it's hard not to feel good here.
Everything starts with your friendly host, Roshni, who welcomes you with an easy smile and leads you to your table. Her husband, Mr. Bloch, is an exceptional chef who's doing miracles in his not so large kitchen. The place to go for fish, mainly sweetwater...but also some seafood. Classic swiss and french recipies, lightly cooked, tasty and to the point. Not feeling for fish? Try the Wienerschnitzel or the gorgeous filet mignon with whisky sauce, you'll be amazed! Winelist is extensive, lot of local producers, try the white Räuschling, you'll be surprised, by the taste and by it's appealing price tag, too. After great food and munchy dessert your host will give you a last smile on your way out, after having done everything during the whole visit to make you feel welcome. Highly recommended, reservation is a must!
