Hunan Gourmet - Frederick

This place was a huge surprise. It used to be our goto omni chinese food delivery, then we checked out their vegan menu. It is huge! They cook everything to order for just about every classic dish you can think of. When compared to other vegan options, it might not be the healthiest, but if you have a chinese food craving, you can quench it here. Just let them know you're vegan when ordering and they'll check in the back with the chef for anything the front is unsure of.

Whenever I am in Frederick and need to grab some take-out I almost ALWAYS order from Hunan. They have so many fantastic options and the food is great.

In terms of service, we were seated promptly and given menus, but it did take a bit of time for our order to be taken. The staff were friendly and efficient when they attended to us, but there were a few instances where we had to wait longer than expected. As for the food quality, we visited during lunchtime and were pleased with the amount of food we received for the lunch special. It was more generous compared to other restaurants offering similar deals.

Hunan never disappoints. Every time I order from them, the staff is friendly and the food is consistently delicious. Tonight I opted for delivery and was impressed by the attentive driver who made sure I received my order with a smile. The upgraded packaging was a nice touch, and my go-to dish, the orange chicken, was exceptional this time. It looked even better than the picture. Thank you, Hunan, for always delivering top-notch service and food!

This restaurant has a special menu with vegan options, using only vegan ingredients and no fish sauces. Some of my favorite dishes are the green General Tso's tofu, faux chicken lo mein, and fried rice. The spring rolls are delicious and the dumplings are good. The faux shrimp is a bit strange but tasty, and as someone allergic to shrimp, it feels almost like I'm eating the real thing, which I haven't had in 30 years. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!
