Welcome to Bridge 61 Pub, a charming traditional canal-side pub that has earned its place in the Good Pub Guide! Nestled at the foot of the locks, it’s the perfect spot to unwind while watching boats drift by. Open daily throughout the year, we take pride in offering a delightful selection of local Cask Marqued real ales and specialty ciders, alongside hot drinks, snacks, and hearty meals. Our pub is housed in what is believed to be the historical accommodation quarters for the workers of the Inclined Plane, adorned with classic canal artefacts and featuring an inviting open fire for those chillier months. You'll be delighted to be served through a quaint little hatch in the wall, adding to the charming atmosphere! We are a dog-friendly establishment (leads required, please) and welcome well-behaved children too. Don’t worry if your boots have seen better days — we’re perfectly fine with a bit of mud! For our four-legged friends, we offer dog treats, while for everyone else, our menu is packed with light meals, snacks, and seasonal specials. Check out our freshly introduced Build Your Own Breakfast Menu, available daily from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. If you miss breakfast, just ask us — we’ll do our best to accommodate you! And for those on the go, we have takeouts available, so you can explore the beautiful surroundings with a bite in hand. Facilities for baby changing are also accessible in the disabled toilet area. The nearest parking options are available in the Canal River Trust Pay and Display car parks; please remember to bring change, as it helps us keep the pub running smoothly.
