Patrons rave about the quality food, particularly the Sunday roasts and uniquely crafted pizzas. While the pub can be quiet during weekdays, it’s a lively spot on evenings and weekends, hosting events such as bingo and pop-up kitchens. The hospitable landlord, a supporter of Leicester City, ensures a welcoming experience. Despite occasional complaints about reservations and management issues, visitors appreciate the generous portions and quality ingredients that make dining here a delightful experience.
Really pleasant meal in a very nice atmosphere. All employees were very friendly and very efficient. Thanks again. See you soon
A little hectic when we first in, but when we broke up our table things and the food was nice and good value. Would go back.
We were driving from Harwich to Pembrokeshire and met up with my stepson here (who had driven down from Nottingham) for Sunday lunch. The food was of very good quality and the meals were reasonable priced. I had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was one of the best that I have tasted. There were local real ales available which were also very nice. We will definitely consider the short detour to this pub again when we are in the area. The only real problem was that my GPS didn't know that it is no longer possible to exit the A14 at the M1/M6 junction. So check your route beforehand!
Good food, friendly staff shame it is a little far from where we live but would definitely recommend.
Very pleasant meal after the Winter Wolf Event in November 2017. Staff were very friendly and couldn't help enough. Food was excellent overall. No fuss, plenty of food choice and very welcoming venue.
