I would really, really recommend the confit de canard, because it was exquisite! I would go there again just for that! Having visited this restaurant numerous times while living in France and never having a bad meal, my husband and I decided to try it again after not visiting for four years. Fantastic eating, a warm welcome, a great mood and “open” when so many other restaurants are not open at the weekend.
We had three courses with a bottle Provencal rosé and 2 kirs petillants all for 75 euro. everything was well reconciled and presented and the personal was friendly.
Very pleasant furnishings and atmosphere. good food and friendly staff. the set menus offer a good choice and are cost-effective relatiw. we had a great night here.
We discovered la bretagne when it was one of the only restaurants that were open in fougeres on Wednesday night and it was a pleasant surprise. the main room has a large Deco style ceiling lamp and a cozy interieur. but we sat. in the sun lounge, which enabled us to enjoy the sunny evening and observe the passing people. the waitress was friendly and helpful and that was eating (comme d’habitude en france) good quality and very inexpensive.
Inside is always clean and fresh. Staff are friendly but it helps if you speak French or at least try to speak French. Sometimes the food can be superb. Sometimes it can be just ordinary. Sometimes it can be a bit of both. But...this isn't a Michelin, and it doesn't charge Michelin prices. On the downside? I wish the chairs were more comfortable. But they arent too bad.
