The food w... read more We had planned lunch at an extremely popular Branson restaurant. A 2.5 hour wait compelled us to find an alternative. What a treat to find this cafe. The food was really good. Our waitress was attentive and efficient. The pancakes were outstanding with such a generous serving, I brought one home for dinner! Not far off Highway 65, it's a great alternative to the craziness of Branson. Service: Dine in

I called... read more What incredible and generous people! We got home last-minute before Thanksgiving and I called some friends to see where they were getting their turkey. I called their recommendations and no one had turkeys available until I called Shirley’s Kitchen. They were so friendly and accommodating! They offered to go to a store to get a turkey and smoke it for us over night so we could enjoy it for Thanksgiving. That idea didn’t work out, so they got a turkey they had planned for another occasion and graciously smoked that for us. They communicated throughout the process and were kind and responsive. When I drove over to meet them they were welcoming and the turkey smelled soooooo good. We ate for a few days and wow, we will not be waiting until next Thanksgiving to get another one. These guys can COOK!! God bless Shirley’s Kitchen and the kind people who run it!

When they came o... read more I picked up a cooked turkey and two apple pies for our Thanksgiving dinner. The food was excellent and the kindness of the staff was beautiful. When they came out with a huge box containing the turkey and pies they told me the gentleman was carrying it out to my car because it was heavy. I never asked, they just told me they were doing it. This is my FAVORITE kind of place. My dad always looked for the local diner when we traveled and this is THAT place! Don't pass this hidden gem by. They just don't don't have many diners like this west of here. Food was absolutely amazing, but even better than that was the service. It wasn't just one person, but whoever worked there, when they went by they checked on us. Loved every minute there and was impressed that we were treated just like we lived in Forsyth all our lives. 100 Stars strong! LOVED IT!
